BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 7. TotalEnergies' liquified natural gas (LNG) sales in the third quarter of 2023 amounted to 10.5 Mt, Trend reports.
According to the company, in the reporting period of 2023, LNG sales remained steady compared to the previous year (10.4 Mt in 3Q2022), but experienced a decrease when compared to the previous quarter (11 Mt in 2Q2023).
Over the past nine months, TotalEnergies's LNG sales totaled 32.5 Mt - down by 8 percent year-on-year (35.4 Mt in 9M2022).
This decline can be attributed to the reduction in spot-traded volumes in a more stable market environment, the company noted.
Meanwhile, TotalEnergies' hydrocarbon production for LNG (excluding Russia's Novatek) over the third quarter of 2023 amounted to 433,000 boe/d. Hydrocarbon production for LNG remained consistent from one quarter to the next and showed an 18-percent increase compared to the previous year (368,000 boe/d).
