BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 8. TotalEnergies' net power production in the third quarter of 2023 increased to 8.9 TWh, Trend reports.
According to the company, this marked a 7-percent rise, compared to the previous quarter (8.2 TWh in 2Q2023).
This boost can be attributed to the expanding power generation from renewable sources, driven by the full integration of Total Eren and the commencement of operations at Myrtle Solar and Danish Fields in the US, the energy giant noted.
At the same time, in the reporting period of 2023, TotalEnergies recorded a 4-percent year-on-year rise in net power production (8.5 TWh in 3Q2022).
Over the first nine months of 2023, the company's net power production totaled 25.5 TWh - up by 7 percent year-on-year (23.7 TWh in 9M2022).
Meanwhile, by the conclusion of the third quarter in 2023, the gross installed capacity for renewable power generation had surpassed 20 GW, reflecting a growth of more than 1 GW within the quarter. This total includes an additional 0.5 GW installed in the US through Myrtle Solar and Danish Fields, as well as the connection of 0.3 GW from the Seagreen offshore wind project in the UK.
