BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 17. Azerbaijan's production of polyethylene from January through December 2023 amounted to 162,800 tons, 21.2 percent more than in the same period of 2022, Trend reports.
According to Azerbaijan's State Statistics Committee, propylene output during the reporting period was 153,100 tons, 14 percent more than the same time in 2022.

Meanwhile, Azerbaijan produced 134,700 tons of propylene, 134,700 tons of polyethylene, 139,800 tons of ethylene, 194,700 tons of iodine, 5,488 mcm of oxygen, 534,500 tons of methanol, and 23,406 mcm of nitrogen in 2022.
The country produced 146,400 tons of propylene, 164,700 tons of polyethylene, 168,400 tons of ethylene, 167,500 tons of iodine, 9,655 mcm of oxygen, 378,200 tons of methanol, and 22.481 mcm of nitrogen in 2021.
