The work related to the construction of a new building of Baku Textile Factory, a big textile enterprise in Azerbaijan, has been completed by 50 percent, Director of the factory Sakina Babayeva told Trend.
Babayeva said that about 3 million manat ($1.7 million) was allocated for the construction of a new five-story building of the Baku Textile Factory.
“The facility is financed through own funds of the Baku Textile Factory,” the director noted. “According to preliminary estimates, construction of the facility may be completed in April this year.”
The new building is being constructed in the Binagadi district of Baku.
Opening of 110 new jobs is expected at the new facility, and new production lines will be commissioned.
Some 300 people work in the Baku Textile Factory and seven production lines are used.
The factory has been operating since 1939. It was the first factory in the South Caucasus operating in the field of textile industry.
Presently, the factory continues its activity upon the European standards by using Germany’s and Japan’s modern equipment and technologies. The experienced staff works at the factory.
The factory produces everyday clothes, evening dresses, corporate clothing, children's clothes, sportswear, medical uniforms, as well as overalls, school uniforms and all types of workwear, including promo clothing and military uniforms.
