Base Index of Consumer Prices in Azerbaijan Exceeds Growth Rates of Inflation by 1.3%

Azerbaijan, Baku, 17 November /corr. Trend N.Ismaylov / In October, the prices of the consumer goods and service tariffs increased by 0.8% as compared to September 2008, and over 10 months by 21.6% as compared to the same period of the last year, State Statistics Committee said.

In October the prices for food products increased by 1%, nonfood - 1.1%, and service tariffs - 0.1%.

As compared to January-October 2007, the price of the food products grew by 30%, nonfood - 11.5% and service tariffs - 11.6%.

In October the base index of consumer prices, calculated without goods and services, subjected to the seasonal changes (fruits and vegetables) and prices of which are regulated by state, was 100.7%, and 122.9% over ten months as compared to the same period of the last year.
