Exhibitions such as Bakubuild play an important role not only in attracting investment to Azerbaijan, but also increase the country's export potential, the President of the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan Mammad Musayev said at the opening ceremony today.
"The main task of the Confederation is to develop, along with the oil sector, also non-oil sector, increasing the country's export potential. Such exhibitions play an important role in fulfilling this task," Musayev said.
He said the difference between this exhibition and others, taking place in Azerbaijan, is that it is attended by a large number of local companies.
"About 30 percent of companies participating in the exhibition are the Azerbaijani companies," Musayev said.
According to the Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijani Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture Dovlatkhan Dovlatkhanov, Azerbaijan has no problem with receiving investments.
"The problem is in the effective use of large investments," Dovlatkhanov said.
The exhibition is organised by ITE Group (UK) and its partner in the Caucasus, Iteca Caspian
