Azerbaijan Airlines to receive 3 Boeing aircrafts in 2012

Next year CJSC Azerbaijan Airlines will receive three Boeing aircraft, Azerbaijan Airlines spokesman Maharram Safarli said on Friday.

In June this year, Azerbaijan Airlines took charge of a Boeing 767-300ER aircraft within its contract with Boeing. Mr. Safarli said in particular CJSC will receive a Boeing 767-300ER passenger aircraft next year whilst AZAL will get two Boeing 767 cargo.

AZAL will also collect the most modern aircraft, the Boeing- 787 Dreamliner in 2014 which will be the first in the CIS.

That will be the opener to the airline getting another similar aircraft after 2014. This will allow AZAL to start implementing flights over longer distances, in particular to the U.S.
