Azerbaijan intends to bring copper production up to 5,987.9 tons in 2021, according to the concept of socio-economic development of the country in 2018 and the next three years, submitted to the parliament for discussion.
This forecast exceeds the production forecast for 2017 (2,473.1 tons) by 2.4 times. In 2018, it is planned to bring production of copper to 4,466 tons.
Forecast for gold production in Azerbaijan for 2018 will be 5,471.5 kilograms, which exceeds the production forecast for 2017 (5,312.2 kilograms) by almost 3 percent. It is planned to produce 5,978.9 kilograms of gold in 2021.
The documents states that forecast for silver production in Azerbaijan for 2018 and the next three years will remain unchanged at the level of 355 kilograms.
In 2016, 969.2 tons of copper, 132.5 kilograms of silver and 2,229.3 kilograms of gold were produced in Azerbaijan.
