A confectionery production plant of Turkmenistan’s local Taze Ay Onumleri company has been commissioned at the 9th kilometer of the Mary-Ashgabat highway, Trend reports referring to the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET).

The plant is designed for the daily production of 92 tons of a wide range of confectionery. It is planned to potentially export the products to foreign countries. An administrative building, confectionery shop, and rooms for storing raw materials and finished products are located on the territory of the 3.5-hectare facility.

It was reported in 2017 that the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) plans to extend a loan of $6 million to Datly Sherbet, one of the leading confectionery manufacturers in Turkmenistan. Datly Sherbet is a subsidiary of the local meat producer Taze Ay Onumleri.
