Iran's agricultural exports to Iraq via Mehran border exceeds $11B

In the last Iranian year (March 21, 2018-March 20, 2019), Iran exported agricultural goods to Iraq in the amount of five trillion rials (roughly $11.9 billion) through Mehran customs point of its Ilam province, the head of Mehran Agricultural Jihad Organization Hasan Mouradi said, Trend reports via IRNA.

Mouradi noted that last year, Iran's agricultural exports to Iraq via Mehran amounted to 112,000 tons in terms of weight.

Compared to the preceding Iranian year, the exports of agricultural products increased by 30 percent in the last year.

Main goods of export were watermelons, melons, zucchini, kiwi fruit, peppers and flowers, he said.

Mehran is considered to be one of Iran's main customs in the exports of Iran's agricultural production.
