Turkmenistan allocating land to private ownership

The work is being carried out in Turkmenistan to allocate land plots to private ownership for private farming in rural areas and for individual construction of residential houses in cities and towns, Trend reports with reference to Neytralni Turkmenistan newspaper.

The total volume of special land funds in the country amounted to 65,384.84 hectares, including the Ahal region of the country – 6,074.5 hectares, the Balkan region – 4,888.5 hectares, Dashoguz region – 17,813.21 hectares, Lebap region – 18,546.87 hectares, and Mary region - 18,061.76 hectares.

At a government meeting, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov pointed out the importance of strengthening control over the transfer of land plots to private ownership, the construction of residential buildings and the laying of engineering and communication networks, addressing specific instructions to Deputy Prime Minister Charymyrat Purchekov.
