Turkmenistan eyes to expand partnership with Danish Haldor Topsoe

Turkmenistan plans to develop cooperation with Denmark's Haldor Topsoe, Trend reports referring to the state Altyn Asyr TV channel.

The issue was raised at the Cabinet meeting. It was noted that the Danish company is a partner of Turkmenistan in the field of modernizing the domestic oil and gas complex and introducing advanced methods, innovations and technologies into production.

A draft Memorandum of Understanding between the Turkmengaz State Concern and Haldor Topsoe was presented to President Gurbaguly Berdimuhamedov for consideration.

As reported, the Turkmen head of state emphasized that an important aspect of Turkmenistan's energy strategy is the intensification of mutually beneficial cooperation with various states and business circles of the world. In this context, the potential of the sector on processing natural gas and other natural resources was noted.

Denmark is of interest for Turkmenistan thanks to its innovative technologies, the report said. In particular, equipment produced by Haldor Topsoe has been installed at a gas chemical complex in the Garabogaz city of Turkmenistan's Balkan province. The project was implemented by the consortium of Japanese Mitsubishi and Turkish Gap Inşaat construction company.

Furthermroe, an enterprise for the production of synthetic gasoline has recently started operating in Ovadandepe, near the Turkmen capital. The Gas to Gasoline project (GTG) is also based on Haldor Topsoe technology. The enterprise has been created by a consortium of Japanese Kawasaki and Turkish Rönesans.
