Baku textile factory increases production volumes of women's clothing

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 8

Azerbaijan's biggest Baku Textile Factory is increasing the production volumes, a source in the factory told Trend.

In particular, the factory increased the production volumes of women's clothing up by 15-18 percent from January through May 2020. The production volume of underwear has also increased, the source added.

The factory produces 30,000-35,000 pieces of women's clothing a month. This indicator is planned to be increased to 40,000 pieces.

The factory plans to export lingerie to the Central Asia and the UAE, and negotiations are underway with potential partners in these countries.

The factory increased the production volumes by 40 percent in 2019 compared to 2018. At present, 300 people work at the Baku Textile Factory, at which seven production lines operate.

The factory has been operating since 1939. In fact, it was the first textile factory in the South Caucasus region.

Baku Textile Factory has been provided with the latest equipment and technologies from Germany and Japan. The experienced specialists work there.

The factory has established production of daily clothes, evening dresses, corporate, children's, sports and medical clothes, as well as overalls, school uniforms, and all types of work clothes and military uniforms.
