Russia, Belarus export large volume of dairy products to Turkmenistan

Russia and Belarus exported a large volume of dairy products to Turkmenistan from January through May 2020, Trend reports, citing the Eurasian Economic Commission’s statistics.

Some 299,239 tons of milk and cream worth $705,643 were exported to Turkmenistan by aforesaid countries from January through May.

Belarus’ share from the above amount is $622,377, while Russia’s share is $83,265.

Russia and Belarus also exported 240,074 tons of whey worth $177,881 to Turkmenistan.

The share of Belarus in the export of whey is $130,920, and the share of Russia is $46,960.

In addition, the same countries, together with Kazakhstan, exported 184,002 kilograms of cheese and cottage cheese to Turkmenistan for the amount of $441,767 in the same period.

The share of Belarus in the above-mentioned exports of cheese and cottage cheese is $169,638, the share of Kazakhstan - $10,602, and the share of Russia is $261,526.

Some domestic companies are also engaged in Turkmenistan's dairy production.

As it was reported earlier, Turkmen Sawat dairy company revealed production data for 1H2020, which amounted to 3.3 million Turkmen manat ($963,428).

Meanwhile, last year, company manufactured products worth about 6 million Turkmen manat ($1.7 million).
