The representatives of the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan discussed possibilities of promoting domestic products in the foreign markets with the leadership of the Organizing Committee of EXPO-2020 world exhibition, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.
The sides noted that Turkmenistan's participation in the exhibition will contribute to expanding cooperation with foreign partners, as well as promoting domestic products in foreign markets.
Organizational issues related to the world exhibition were discussed. Thus, it was noted that Turkmenistan supported the initiative put forward by the UAE(United Arab Emirates) to postpone EXPO-2020 to the next year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Emirati companies are actively operating in the Turkmen market, especially in its energy sector.
As reported, earlier, the UAE's Petrofac oil and gas company expressed its readiness to continue cooperation with Turkmenistan in the development of the Galkynysh gas field.
Galkynysh field, with a total area of more than 4,000 square kilometers, includes more than 40 wells, with a production capacity of an average of 2 million cubic meters of gas per day for each well.
Hyundai, LG (Republic of South Korea), CNPC (China), Petrofac, Gulf Oil & Gas International Fze (UAE) were involved in the development of the Galkynysh field at different stages.
