Iran reveals details of its exports

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov. 2

Iran exported 65.5 million tons of goods worth $18.2 billion during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 20-October 21, 2020), Director General of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Mehdi Mirashrafi said, Trend reports citing IRICA.

The director general noted Iran exported $4.8 billion worth of goods to Iraq and $4.4 billion worth to China during the reporting period.

“In addition, Iran exported $2.2 billion worth of goods to the UAE, $1.4 billion worth to Turkey and $1.3 billion worth to Afghanistan within seven months,” he added.

Mirashrafi stressed in total, Iran's foreign trade turnover amounted to 85 million tons worth about $38.3 billion.

The director general said Iran's foreign trade turnover decreased by 23 percent in terms of value and 5.17 percent in terms of volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

According to him, foreign trade turnover increased by 11 percent in terms of value compared to the 6th month of current Iranian year (August 22-September 21).
