Big share of Azerbaijan's export of non-oil products accounts for fruits and vegetables

The lion's share of Azerbaijan's export accounted for fruits and vegetables worth $549.5 million from January through November 2020, Trend reports with reference to the Export Review of the Azerbaijani Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.

Fruits and vegetables are followed by cotton fiber ($111.9 million), aluminum and aluminum products ($97.4 million), chemical products ($76.3 million), ferrous metals and ferrous products ($46.6 million), cotton yarn ($15 million), alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages ($10.9 million), sugar ($21.4 million).

The export of the non-oil products decreased by eight percent from January through November 2020 compared to the same period of last year and amounted to $1.6 billion.

The export of non-oil products increased by $193.7 million or 9.3 percent in November 2020 compared to November 2019.

The non-oil goods worth $77.5 million were exported to Russia, non-oil goods worth $35.1 million - to Turkey, non-oil goods worth $24.8 million - to Switzerland, non-oil goods worth $7.9 million - to Georgia, and non-oil goods worth $7.3 million - to Italy in November.

Azerbaijan's export of non-oil products amounted to $1.7 billion in 2019, which is $16 million or 10 percent more than in 2018.
