Producer Price Index for Transportation and Storage Services decreased by 0.1 percent in December 2020 compared to the previous month in Georgia, Trend reports via the National Statistics Office reports (Geostat).
The prices were 0.2 percent lower for air transport services. Moreover, the prices increased for land transport services and transport services via pipelines and warehousing and support services for transportation by 0.02 percent and 0.6 percent, respectively.
Compared to December 2019 the overall index fell by 0.7 percent.
Within the group noteworthy price decrease was registered for air transport services (-26.4 percent). Furthermore, the prices increased for land transport services and transport services via pipelines by 5 percent and also, for warehousing and support services for transportation by 12.6 percent.
Producer Price Index for Telecommunication Services was unchanged compared to the previous month.
The overall index fell by 0.2 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. Within the group the prices declined for other telecommunications services by 3.6 percent.
Producer Price Index for Accommodation and Food Services fell by 2 percent compared to the previous month. The prices declined for food and beverage serving services and accommodation services by 2.2 percent and 1.3 percent, respectively.
The overall index increased by 0.4 percent compared to December 2019. The prices increased for food and beverage serving services by 4.1 percent, while the prices for accommodation services decreased by 8.4 percent.
