Azerbaijan discloses amount of trade surplus for 1Q2021

Azerbaijan’s trade surplus made up 1.9 billion manat ($1.12 billion) in the first quarter of 2021, Trend reports on May 16 citing data from the State Statistical Committee.

Over the reporting period, legal entities and individuals in Azerbaijan conducted trade operations with partners from 153 countries.

Meanwhile, Azerbaijan exported products to 89 countries and imported goods from 144 countries.

From January through March 2021, the value of Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $7.03 billion, including exports - $4.5 billion, and imports - $2.5 billion.

At the same time, in real prices the foreign trade turnover increased by 4.9 percent year on year, while in real terms - by 15.1 percent, imports - by 24.3 percent, and exports - by 9.1 percent.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported non-oil products worth $501.5 million, which in actual prices is 17 percent more compared to the same period of 2020, and in real terms - 3.7 percent less.
