Iran resumes activities of certain industrial enterprises

The activities of 499 industrial enterprises in Iran were restored during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through August 22, 2021), Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran and Head of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO), Ali Rasoulian said, Trend reports citing the organization.

The deputy minister noted that about 12,500 people have been employed with the re-commissioning of these enterprises.

Rasoulian added that, it is planned to resume the activities of 1,600 industrial enterprises in Iran's industrial parks and 400 outside industrial parks within the current Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022).

“In total, the activities of 10,200 enterprises in Iran were resumed over the past 9 years (March 20, 2012 through March 20, 2021). About 183,000 people have been employed by the resumption of activities of enterprises,” he said.

The head stressed that there are more than 48,000 industrial enterprises in Iran's industrial parks, of which, 8,130 are inactive. In addition, 8,110 enterprises outside industrial parks have suspended operations.

As reported, there are more than 1,000 small industrial and industrial parks in Iran. There are 48,000 industrial enterprises and 3,140 workshops operating in these industrial parks. About 963,000 people are employed in industrial parks.
