The value of money transfers send to Kazakhstan from abroad amounted to 97,000 transfers worth 23.9 billion tenge ($56.2 million) in July 2021, which is 0.7 percent more in volume and 4.1 percent less in value than in June 2021, Kazakhstan’s National Bank told Trend.
The Bank said that the largest value of money transfers sent to Kazakhstan accounted for transfers sent from Russia, South Korea and Uzbekistan.
Thus, some 39,600 money transfers worth 5.3 billion tenge ($12.6 million) were sent to Kazakhstan from Russia. This is 0.8 percent more in volume and 5.8 percent more in value compared to last month.
In turn, some 3.4 billion tenge ($8.09 million) worth of funds were sent to Kazakhstan from South Korea via 6,000 money transfers. This is 7.6 percent less in volume and 9.6 percent less in value.
Furthermore, the value of funds sent from Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan amounted to 3.2 billion tenge ($7.5 million), and the volume of carried out money transfers equaled 7,000. This is 14.6 percent less in volume and 18.2 percent less in value.
