Kazakhstan reports decrease in monthly housing purchases

The number of purchases and sales of real estate in Kazakhstan amounted to 464,978 transactions over the period from January through October 2021, which is 89.1 percent more than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

The total number of buy/sell transactions in Kazakhstan in October 2021 amounted to 44,464 transactions, which is 11.7 percent less than in September 2021 and 35.1 percent more than during the same month of 2020.

The largest number of transactions was observed in Almaty city where it amounted to 6,537 transactions, which is 12.1 percent less than in September 2021 and 11.4 percent more than in October 2020.

Almaty city is followed by Nur-Sultan city with 6,441 transactions, which is 7.5 percent less than during September 2021 and 49.1 percent more than in October 2020.

Karaganda region ranked third (5,121 transactions in October 2021), showing a 13.1 percent increase compared to September 2021 and a 46.4 percent increase compared to October 2020.

The least number of purchases and sales of housing transactions during October 2021 was observed in the North Kazakhstan region (862 transactions, a decrease of 3.6 percent compared to September 2021 and an increase of 6.9 percent compared to October 2020).
