ISIPO discloses number of enterprises re-launched in Iran

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Jan. 17

The activity of 1,689 industrial and manufacturing enterprises in Iran have been re-launched since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2021) to date, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran and Head of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO), Ali Rasoulian said, Trend reports citing the organization.

According to Rasoulian, it is planned to resume the activity of 2,000 enterprises in the country for the current Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022). Of these, 1,600 are located in industrial parks, 400 – outside the industrial parks.

The official added that as a result of the research conducted earlier this year, it was determined that so far, the activity of 12,067 industrial and manufacturing enterprises in Iran has been suspended, while 62 percent of these enterprises can be re-launched.

“Meanwhile, the resuming of the activity of remaining enterprises is not economically viable,” he said.
