The Ak Gaya company, Turkmenistan’s largest manufacturer specializing in the production of dry building mixtures, produced more than 22,400 tons of building mixture in 2021, Trend reports referring to Business Turkmenistan portal.
Located in the Turkmenbashi, the Balkan region, the plant is capable of producing 100,000 tons of building materials per year.
Earlier in December 2020, the enterprise opened a plant for the production of dry building mixtures and drywall in the Balkan region.
The plant, with a production capacity of 8 million sq. meters of drywall and 78,000 tons of dry mixes per year, produced 377,951 square meters of drywall last year.
Perlite plaster mixture, finishing putty, building gypsum, and gypsum machine plaster are the four types of building mixtures produced by the company, which are packaged in 30 kilogram bags. The plant exports its products to a number of foreign countries such as Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, and Russia.
The raw material used in production is calcite, which is mined in a quarry on the plant's nearby property. The majority of the raw materials are purchased locally, while chemical additives are imported from Germany, Turkey, Ukraine, and South Korea to improve the quality and efficiency of building mixtures.
Furthermore, Ak Gaya has recently begun manufacturing interior and exterior wall paints, plastic pipes of various sizes, and two types of cables.
