BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 20. Iran will export 250 tons of agricultural and food products to Qatar daily, during the World Football Championship in Qatar, Iranian Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade and Head of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI), Alireza Peymanpak said, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.
According to Peymanpak, in this regard, an agreement was reached at the meeting held in Doha in the 7th month of the current Iranian year (September 23 through October 22, 2022).
“Within the mentioned agreement, some cargo have already been delivered to Qatar,” he added.
The deputy minister noted that Iran and Qatar are preparing a road map to increase the value of trade turnover between the two countries to $3 billion. The main issue on this road map concerns the export of Iranian products to other countries by using the Qatar’s potential.
In this direction, Qatar has reduced the duty and provided special discounts for the export of Iranian products to other countries through this country, Peymanpak said.
The World Football Championship 2022 will start on November 20, 2022 in Qatar.
