BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 14. Iran's trade turnover of agricultural and food products with foreign countries amounted to approximately 29.7 million tons worth $20.6 billion, during the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through February 19, 2023), Trend reports citing the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

Over 11 months, Iran exported more than 6.99 million tons of agricultural and food products worth $4.56 billion, which is a decrease of 3.97 percent in value and 9.42 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

So, 7.72 million tons of agricultural and food products worth $4.75 billion were exported from the country in the same period last Iranian year.

Also, Iran imported about 22.7 million tons of agricultural and food products worth approximately $16.1 billion in 11 months. The imports increased by 28.5 percent in value, while decreasing by 4 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

Meanwhile, in the same period last Iranian year, Iran’s agricultural and food products imports amounted to 23.6 million tons worth $12.5 billion.

In total, Iran exported over 111 million tons of non-oil products worth $48.8 billion within the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022, through February 19, 2023).

This is an increase of 12.2 percent in value, while a decrease of 1 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

At the same time, Iran imported a total of 33.6 million tons of goods worth $53.7 billion for 11 months, which is an increase of 15.2 percent in value, while a decrease of 8.61 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
