BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 11. In total, the activity of 1,751 industrial and manufacturing enterprises was resumed in Iran, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran and Head of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO), Ali Rasoulian said, Trend reports referring to the organization’s website.
He made the remark at a meeting with the heads of the mentioned enterprises in Tehran on April 11.
According to Rasoulian, of the mentioned enterprises, 1,298 are located in the country’s industrial parks, while 453 are outside the industrial parks.
The deputy minister added that a total of 34,673 people were provided with jobs by the resuming of the activity of industrial and manufacturing enterprises in the country.
“Furthermore, the capacity of 2,562 enterprises whose production potential is below 50 percent has been increased,” he said.
At present, there are 851 industrial parks in Iran. Overall, 50,373 industrial enterprises operate in these industrial parks and 1,012,493 people work there.
