More carriages have to be purchased to transport the growing amounts of oil and oil products on the territory of Azerbaijan. 1,000 carriages are currently needed, the head of the state railroad service, Arif Askerov told Trend.
However, carriages have to purchased both by private companies engaged in the railroad transportations and the government, he said.
Today there are 2, 500 oil transporting carriages available in the country. 1,000 more carriages are owned by private traders- Azertrans and Middle East Petrol.
