Azerbaijan, Baku, 15 April / Trend / Elmar Mammadyarov, the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, will discuss in Bulgaria the prospects of implementing the project to construct the Nabucco gas pipeline which is intended to export Caspian gas to EU member-countries markets.
The Minister's official visit to Bulgaria will commence on 16April.
"In Bulgaria I plan to hold meetings with the President, foreign minister, prime minister and this visit will be a continuation of the discussions which was arranged during the Bulgarian President's visit to Baku, Mammadyarov said.
In January 2008 the goods turnover between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria totalled approximately AZN 970,000.
"Mutual relations between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria are successfully developing, particularly in economic, energy, agriculture and humanitarian issues, as well as the Nabucco gas pipeline project," Azerbaijani Foreign Minister said.
