The recent international energy transit projects implemented in the region reaffirmed Georgia's reputation as a reliable partner, Energy Minister Alexander Khetaguri told Trend in the run up to the energy summit to be held in Batumi Jan.14.
Jan.11-12, the summit's working group prepared documents, which stipulate the subsequent development of Eurasian transport and energy routes, and determination of security measures.
"Recently, the regional transit opportunities have been recognized. Accordingly, the European Union increased its interest in the region. Support to the Southern Corridor initiative evidences it," Khetaguri said.
