Georgia and the EU will conclude an agreement on the allocation of 5 million euro for the rehabilitation of the Inguri Hydropower Plant in the near future, the Georgian Energy Ministry said.
The European Commission and Georgian Energy Ministry issued an agreement according to which the country will receive 5 million euro for the rehabilitation of the plant in the form of grant.
Purchasing equipment for the first unit of the plant, the completion of installation works and commissioning are planned for implementation by March 2012, while work will be completed on the final fifth unit and it will be commissioned by May 2013.
