SOCAR builds new gas stations in Georgia

SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, a subsidiary of SOCAR Energy Georgia has put into operation the 75th filling stations under SOCAR brand in Tbilisi, a source in SOCAR Energy Georgia.

SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, a subsidiary of SOCAR Energy Georgia has put into operation the 75th filling stations under SOCAR brand in Tbilisi, a source in SOCAR Energy Georgia.

The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) owns SOCAR Energy Georgia.
The source said work is underway on construction of new gas stations in Georgia under the SOCAR brand.

"Today, the company owns 75 filing stations in Georgia. It is planned to increase the figure to 100 by late 2011", the source said.

SOCAR Georgia Petroleum began its work in 2006 and is a 100-percent subsidiary of SOCAR Energy Georgia.

SOCAR has a number of gas stations in Azerbaijan. It is gradually opening gas stations in Ukraine and planns to open SOCAR gas stations in Romania in mid-summer.
