The Azerbaijani Gas Processing Plant under SOCAR started working within the flare system reconstruction project, SOCAR's Ecology Department said.
The project was prepared by SOCAR's "Neftegazelmitedgigatlahiya" institute because after long exploitation, it became useless. The reconstruction will reduce harmful emissions and ensure smokeless burning.
The samples were taken from soil, water and air during the monitoring conducted by the Ecology Department.
The document on assessing the environmental and biological environment was prepared.
