Turkmenistan auctions about 400,000 tons of oil products

Turkmenistan auctioned about 400,000 tons of oil products from the Turkmenbashi refinery, and refineries in the Saydi and Nayip gas-processing complex at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange on Wednesday.

The country put as stock trades about 30,000 tons of straight-run gasoline, over 90,000 tons of gasoline, about 150,000 tons of diesel fuel, about 100,000 tons of fuel oil, about 20,000 tons of polypropylene, 10,000 tons of furnace oil and 5,000 liquefied gas.

Companies from Great Britain, UAE, Russia, Denmark, Afghanistan and Kazakhstan last week bought gasoline A-80 and A-92, hydrotreated diesel fuel, polypropylene, low-sulfur furnace fuel oil, base oil, as well as liquefied gas.

The representatives from Azerbaijan, Iran, China, Switzerland and Liechtenstein and other countries are the traditional participants of the auction. Total amount of contracts, including on sale of oil products exceeds $87 million.

The Commodity Exchange is a principal organ of state regulation of export-import operations in Turkmenistan.
