In Jan.-Sept., the trust of complex drilling operations of SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) repaired 11 wells in offshore fields of Guneshli and Oil Rocks, according to a statement posted Friday on the official website of the trust.
The shallow part of the Guneshli and Oil Rocks fields are developed by SOCAR independently. The shallow part of the Guneshli field accounts for most of the oil and gas production of SOCAR.
After repairing, the wells on Guneshli were re-commissioned with the daily production of oil and condensate in volume of 560 tons per day, gas - more than 368,600 cubic meters.
Also during the reporting period, the trust conducted for Bahar Energy the repair work on wells on the Gum-Deniz and Bahar fields. In particular, trust in this period repaired and put into operation nine wells on the Gum-Deniz field and one well on Bahar field.
In December 2009, SOCAR signed a PSA with Bahar Energy Limited for the exploration, rehabilitation, development and production on the block, which includes the offshore fields Bahar and Gum Deniz.
The second part of this contract involves exploration on the structure of Bahar-2. Over three years, there are plans to drill one exploratory well and if necessary, another well may be drilled. According to preliminary calculations, Bahar Energy Limited will invest $1 billion investment in implementation of the contract.
