Azerbaijan has produced about 29.41 million tons of oil and gas condensate in January-August, which is 6.9 percent less than last year, the State Statistics Committee told Trend on Friday.
Azerbaijan produced 45.37 million tons of oil in 2011compared to 50.83 million tons in 2010.
The bulk of oil in January-August fell to Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli and Shah Deniz, which are developed in cooperation with foreign partners.
Gas production amounted to 11.41 billion cubic meters in January-August, which is 5.7 percent more compared to the same period last year.
The country produced over 20 billion kilowatt / hours of electricity in 2011, which is 8.4 percent more than in 2010.
