Kazakhstan plans to hold global IPO for KazMunaiGas

By Elena Kosolapova - Trend: Kazakhstan plans to carry out a global IPO for National Oil and Gas Company KazMunaiGas in next one-two years, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported today.
It was announced by Kazakh National Bank's chairman Kairat Kelimbetov at a press conference on November 15.
"A global KazMunaiGas' IPO will take place in one-two years," Kelimbetov said.
KazMunaiGas is the Kazakh national operator for exploration, production, refining and transportation of hydrocarbons, representing the state interests in Kazakhstan's gas and oil industry. KazMunaiGas is wholly owned by the state through Samruk-Kazyna National Wealth Fund.
