Iran's Ilam Gas Refinery repaired in 80,000 man-hours

The overhaul of Iran's Ilam Gas Refinery in 80,000 man-hours without any incidents is a huge success for the plant, IRNA reported citing Shahriar Daripour, managing director of Ilam Gas Refinery.

He said that the operation of the gas refinery was suspended in order to save gas production in the cold seasons of the year. During this period, the repair of the plant was started and completed, he added.

“During the mentioned period, the necessary work was done in 30,000 hours,” he noted. “Engineering, technical, security, emergency inspections and a number of other activities were also carried out within 50,000 hours.”

“Heat exchangers, ventilation system, warehouses, filters, main flare system of the plant were repaired and tested,” he said. “During this year, a total of 30 units of fixed equipment, 26 units of mobile equipment, 900 units of electrical equipment and 50 pipes were repaired and adjusted.”

He added that there will be no problems with supplying gas during the cold seasons to the province of Ilam and the neighboring ones.
