Specialists of JSC Uzbekneftegaz’s enterprises received a new industrial flow of natural gas from the exploratory well No. 7 of the Uchtepa field, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the company.

The average amount of incoming "blue fuel" in the knocks is 300,000-350,000 cubic meters, the press-service noted.

"Well number 7 was drilled to a depth of 1,350 meters. Gas condensate studies will be conducted here within 10 days to determine the parameters of the productive horizon - pressure, temperature, gas composition and others," Uzbekneftegaz said.

This field is located in the Bulakbashi district of Andijan region. Earlier, industrial gas inflows of up to 386,000 cubic meters per day were obtained from wells No. 3, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 1 of the “Yura Uchtepa” field.

Geological exploration on the Uchtepa Square is carried out as part of the State Program for the Development and Reproduction of the Mineral Resources Base until 2021.

Currently, Uzbekneftegaz has a capacity for the production of natural gas in the amount of about 70 billion cubic meters and liquid hydrocarbons in the amount of 8 million tons per year.

By obtaining the inflow of natural gas from well No. 7, the contour of the field was expanded and reserves increased, as well as increased opportunities for providing natural gas to the population of the Fergana Valley.

The official statistics shows that the oil production in Uzbekistan in 2018 compared with 2017 decreased by 8.2 percent to 746.400 tons, natural gas increased by 6.1 percent to 59.842 billion cubic meters.
