Iran’s South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company (SZOGPC) has produced an average of 171 million cubic meters of gas over the past three months (Dec. 22 – Feb. 19), said SZOGPC Managing Director Hamid Izadi, Trend reports referring to the website of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC).
Izadi noted that over eleven months of this Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 through Feb. 19, 2020), 140.4 million cubic meters of gas have been extracted daily from 9 gas fields in the company’s territory.
The managing director added that during this period, oil extraction from the Saadatabad and Sarvestan fields amounted to 6,064 barrels daily.
According to the next year’s program (starting March 21, 2020), it is expected to extract 147.7 million barrels of oil within the next eight months (from March 21 through Nov. 21) and 171 million cubic meters of gas within the next four months, the director noted.
“At the same time, daily oil extraction is expected to reach 7,370 barrels,” Izadi said.
The managing director noted that 15 wells are planned to be drilled and repaired in the company’s territory next year. Besides, drilling of 23 wells, placing wellheads and laying pipelines should be carried out from March 21, 2020 through March 21, 2024, Izadi added.
The SZOGPC is a subsidiary of the ICOFC, and it operates in Fars, Bushehr and Hormozgan provinces. In the future, the company plans to expand its operations to Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, as well as Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari provinces.
