Iran’s South Zagros Oil & Gas Production Company (SZOGPC) extracted 24.8 billion cubic meters of gas during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 20-September 21, 2020), Executive Director of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC) Ramin Hatami said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.

The director stressed the SZOGPC extracted an average of 133 million cubic meters of gas per day during the reporting period.

He added that the company plans to extract 169 million cubic meters of gas and 6,000 barrels of crude oil per day over the next four months.

Hatami noted that the SZOGPC extracted an average of 41,000 barrels of gas condensate daily for 6 months and a total of 7.78 million barrels of gas condensate were extracted at the company in six months.

“The South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company extracted an average of 6,000 barrels of crude oil and extracted a total of 1.14 million barrels of crude oil for 6 months,” he said.

According to the director, 12 wells were drilled in the company's fields during 6 months and 7 more wells will be drilled by the end of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2021).

The South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company are one of three subsidiaries of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC). The company operates at five sites in Fars, Bushehr, and Hormozgan provinces. The company has 9 gas fields and 2 oil fields.

The company extracts about 60 billion cubic meters of gas and 20 million barrels of oil and gas condensate a year.
