Iran launches several facilities in Gilan Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Dec. 22

Three power substations have been put into operation in the Astara city of the Gilan Province (northern Iran), Trend reports citing the Ministry of Energy of Iran.

According to the report, a total of 1 trillion rials (about $23.8 million) was spent on the construction of these substations.

“The capacity of launched substations are 63.20-kilovolt, 230-kilovolt, and 63-kilovolt,” the report said.

According to the report, 112 people were employed with the launch of these substations.

Furthermore, 38 villages in Iran's Gilan Province, where about 22,000 people live, have been supplied with water, the report said.

In this regard, 265 billion rials (about $6.3 million) was spent. A 63-km-long water pipeline on supplying, a reservoir with a capacity of 810 cubic meters, and eight pumping stations have been built.
