Large number of companies interested in projects in Uzbekistan’s electricity sector

More than 100 potential companies took part in pre-tender meetings for two projects in the electricity sector of Uzbekistan, Trend reports with reference to press service of National Electric Grids of Uzbekistan JSC.

It is reported that the meetings were organized on March 9 and 11, 2021 in the format of a videoconference within the framework of investment projects on construction of a 220 kilovolt line in the size of 500 kilovolt with a length of 177 kilovolt from Navoi Thermal Power Plant to the 220 kilovolt Besopan switching point and construction of the substation Muruntau 500/220 kilovolt with two autotransformers 3x167 MVA each.

According to the information, pre-tender meetings were held with the participation of specialists from National Electric Grids of Uzbekistan JSC and the consulting firm GOPA - International Energy Consultants GmbH.

It is noted that the participants from various countries received the necessary clarifications on the announced tenders. In addition, representatives of the European Bank for Development and Reconstruction took part and spoke as observers.
