SOCAR Polymer has been one of the leading Azerbaijani companies from January through July 2021 for export value, Trend reports with reference to the Export Review of the Center for Economic Reforms Analysis and Communications.
According to the review, in the reporting period the company exported $122.7 million worth products, up by $47.8 million or 38.95 percent compared to the first seven months of 2020.
SOCAR Polymer has become the first large-scale project in the petrochemical industry of Azerbaijan over the past 40 years.
The company’s production facilities consist of two plants: one for production of Polypropylene (PP), and the other – producing High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), located in the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park. They were commissioned in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
