BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 10. Gas production capacity of Iran's South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company (SZOGPC) increased by 300,000 cubic meters daily as a result of the repair of well No. 30 in the Nar gas field, an official of the SZOGPC, Hassan Nematollahi said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.

Nematollahi noted that the repair of the mentioned well was completed by the company's specialists within 25 days.

The official also said that studies are being conducted in the direction of continuing gas production from the lower reservoirs of the Nar gas field.

“At present, the SZOGPC is continuously taking steps in order to increase the production of crude oil and gas from the oil and gas fields under its control,” he added.

The Nar gas field is located in Iran’s Bushehr Province in the south of the country. The field contains a total of 500 billion cubic meters of gas, and 19 million cubic meters of gas are produced daily.

The South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company (SZOGPC) is one of three subsidiaries of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC). The SZOGPC currently has 9 gas fields - Aghar, Dalan, Nar, Kangan, Sarkhoon, Tabnak, Homa, Varavi, Shanol, and 2 oil fields - Saadatabad and Sarvestan under its management.

In total, the company produced 20.9 million cubic meters of gas during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2022). The company also produced 1.7 million barrels of crude oil and 5.6 million barrels of gas condensate within the mentioned period.
