BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 23. Azerbaijan imported 249,395 tons of crude oil from Turkmenistan from January through March 2023, the State Statistics Committee (SSC) of Azerbaijan told Trend.
According to the information, in value terms, Azerbaijan imported crude oil from Turkmenistan in the amount of more than $150.65 million, which is 8.8 times more than in the first 3 months of 2022.
Azerbaijan's imports of Turkmen oil amounted to more than 30,726 tons from January through March last year in the amount of over $17.11 million.
In general, over the past year, Azerbaijan imported more than 352,715 tons of crude oil from Turkmenistan worth over $245.14 million.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan imported a total of more than 496,144 tons of crude oil in the first quarter of this year in the amount of $290.09 million.
