BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 31. The Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) AG consortium has made public the gas flow nominations for interconnections on July 31, Trend reports.
The Kipoi interconnection located in Greece is slated to receive 332,855,291 kWh of gas on July 31. At the same time, the Komotini interconnection has registered exit nominations of 42,024,757 kWh for July 31, while the Nea Mesimvria interconnection has recorded 13,354,082 kWh for gas entry and 30,346,301 kWh for gas exit on the same date.
On July 31, the Melendugno interconnection has reported gas exit nominations of 271,988,315 kWh.
As a vital component of the Southern Gas Corridor in Europe, the Trans Adriatic Pipeline plays a crucial role in enhancing the continent's energy security, diversifying its energy sources, and supporting efforts towards decarbonization. Boasting a transportation capacity of around 10 billion cubic meters of gas per year, the pipeline has the potential to expand its capacity to 20 billion cubic meters annually. By providing a dependable source of natural gas, TAP contributes to Europe's access to a new and sustainable energy resource.
