ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, August 24. Turkmenistan has sold a large batch of jet fuel to representatives of the business sector from the UAE on its commodity exchange, Trend reports.
According to official data, entrepreneurs from the UAE purchased 1,000 tons of jet fuel at a price of $876.75 per ton. The total amount of transactions amounted to $876,750.
All the jet fuel sold was produced at the enterprises of Turkmenistan's Turkmennebit State Concern.
At the same time, businessmen from Kyrgyzstan bought cotton yarn of Turkmen production on the exchange for a total of $326,662.
Turkmenistan ranks among the world's leading countries in terms of oil and gas reserves. The country pays great attention to the construction of oil and gas processing plants, as well as the export of energy resources to world markets.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
