BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 17. Iran's Aghajari Oil and Gas Production Company (AOGPC) extracted more than 400,000 barrels from the Pazanan oil field located in the southwest of the country over the first 8 months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2023), said Javad Taghizadeh, executive director of the company, Trend reports.
Taghizadeh said this was achieved through a series of operations on eight wells with low output in the field.
He added that these operations would increase the production by 5,000 barrels per day.
The director also said that with these operations, the production of more than 3,000 barrels per day was restored from these wells.
Taghizadeh claimed that the company saved 9 billion rials (about $214,000) by hiring its own specialists to carry out the operations.
The AOGPC is a subsidiary of the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC). The company has eight oil fields: Aghajari, Karanj, Paranj, Parsi, Ramshir, Rag Sefid, Pazanan and Marun. The company extracts about 615,000 barrels of light and heavy crude oil daily from these fields and produces more than 27.8 million cubic meters of gas per day.
