The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) plans to produce around 500,000 cu m of gas a day from �8 Mart’ field, an official of SOCAR told Trend.
This is a well with high debit and assumes special significance for the country. “At present drilling of well 711 is nearing to completion. IT is one of the deepest wells, which the SOCAR spuds at own expense. The project depth of the well is 5850 meters, the drilling work is carried out in the depth of 5700 meters,” he said.
The well is due to complete in the first quarter of 2006.
The oil and gas production unit (OGPU) Absheronneft carried out drilling work here. A well fund includes 577 wells, including 4 gas wells. Since the beginning of the year the OGPU put into exploration 1 gas well.
